Why should I buy from Portakabin when other manufacturers are cheaper?
When you consider whole life costs, Portakabin buildings much more cost-effective. They have a minimum design life of between 25 and 60 years, so you get a very good return on your investment. Our buildings also come with comprehensive warranties to assure you of their structural integrity, and comply with all relevant permanent building regulations.

What buildings can you offer for site use?
We offer a full range of buildings, including canteen units, offices, drying rooms, storage units and toilet blocks. We closely follow HSE guidelines, and our new Portakabin FireSafe building has a unique low-level lifting system to comply with HSE guidelines to avoid working at height.

What are your construction buildings made from?
Buildings are made with a steel outer and inner wall, steel roof and galvanised steel floor frame. The walls are injected with foam insulation to give our buildings a high insulation value. All this means that they need very little maintenance and gives the user a high degree of comfort - minimising heat loss in winter and keeping heat out in summer.

What can you do to enhance security on your modular buildings?
We have a range of additional products that can enhance the security of your building by protecting the windows and doors - which are the most common points of entry. Steel walls also help to keep criminals out. In addition, the Portakabin FireSafe building has been specially designed to offer the highest levels of fire containment, as well as protection against theft and vandalism.

How quickly can you deliver?
Delivery will typically take two or three weeks from stock, or six weeks for special orders. The level of internal fitting, electrics and plumbing will affect the delivery time. We will always work closely with you to deliver your buildings to suit your timescales.
